The deluxe model is a combination of the large and small bow makers. You can make a variety of sizes and styles of bows for floral projects, wreaths, tree tops and even fancy hair bows with almost any type of ribbon. Offray's E-Z Bow Maker has two dowels placed close together to hold the ribbon in place while making a bow. The rectangular base is numbered in 1-inch increments on either side of the dowels to measure the loop lengths of the ribbon.

Instructions
1 Place a 16-inch piece of the medium-gauge floral wire between the dowels on the E-Z Bow Maker. Measure 8 inches from the end of the ribbon and put it between the dowels, sideways. Then twist the ribbon 1/2 turn so the patterned side of the ribbon faces out.

2 Measure the ribbon, using the marked increments on the bow maker, to 4 inches. Make a loop by folding, but not creasing, the ribbon back toward the dowels. Insert the ribbon between the dowels while twisting 1/2 turn. This ensures that the right side of the ribbon is facing out.
3 Measure to 4 inches on the opposite side of the E-Z Bow Maker and make a loop. Insert the ribbon between the dowels while twisting 1/2 turn, right side out. Continue this process until you have eight loops on each side of the bow maker.
4 Create a centre loop for your ribbon by measuring 1 1/2 to 2 inches of ribbon and placing it on one side of the dowels with the other eight loops. Cut your ribbon with the scissors, making sure to leave the 8-inch streamer. You should have a streamer at the bottom of the loops on one side and at the top of the loops on the opposite side.

5 Hold one end of the wire in each hand and crisscross the wire between the dowels. Be careful not to wrap the wire around the dowels--only wrap the ribbon. Cinch the wire as tight as possible. Pull the small loop to the centre to conceal the wire.
6 Separate and fan out the loops before removing the bow from the dowels on the E-Z Bow Maker, starting with the bottom. This will make a full fluffy bow. Firmly grasp the broad flat side of a loop with your thumb on top and fingers inside the loop and pull in an outward motion. Repeat this for each loop.
7 Lift the bow off the bow maker carefully by holding the top of the bow firmly with your thumb and sliding it off the dowels with your other fingers. Turn the bow upside down and firmly twist the two ends of the wire together so the bow will hold together.
Tips and warnings
If you want a larger or smaller bow, simply increase or decrease the length of the ribbon loops.

If you are using wired ribbon, decrease the yardage slightly; increase the yardage if you are using very thin ribbon such as Lame.

Twist the wire tightly, increasing the tension at the base of the bow, so each loop can move freely, making a fuller and more attractive bow. Also, if the wire is too loose, the bow can unravel.
To create a more layered look, make each set of loops 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter than the previous layer.
